A striking claim has been made in politics that mayors will change parties. While it has been claimed that 8 district mayors in Ankara will collectively join the AK Party, it was alleged that Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras will also switch to the AK Party in the coming weeks. Journalist Mustafa Yavuz, who announced the names one by one on a live broadcast, argued that the transfers will gain momentum starting next week.
Noteworthy claims regarding the transfer of mayors in politics were made on the "Taksim Square" program broadcast on TGRT Haber. It was claimed that there will be a significant increase in the number of mayors switching to the AK Party starting next week.
Journalist Mustafa Yavuz, who made assessments on the program, relayed claims about the transfer activity in politics.
"AHMET ARAS WILL SWITCH TO THE AK PARTY"
Yavuz, who claimed that Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras, who announced that he would resign from the CHP and continue his path as an independent, will switch to the AK Party, used the following statements:
“We can call him an AK Party traveler. He has already made progress with the AK Party's officials in Muğla and its politicians there. Therefore, in the coming days, regarding Ahmet Aras's switch to the AK Party, it is normal for him to say 'I am staying independent' at the moment. We have seen this in others as well. Ahmet Aras will switch to the AK Party within the next few weeks.”
"8 DISTRICT MAYORS IN ANKARA ARE ALSO SWITCHING"
Journalist Mustafa Yavuz, who also made striking assessments about Ankara politics, claimed that 8 district mayors in the capital will collectively join the AK Party. Arguing that the decision is almost certain, Yavuz commented, “Starting next week, we will see a very intense increase in mayors switching to the AK Party. For example, it seems almost certain that 8 district mayors in Ankara will collectively join the AK Party.”
