Bahattin Akgül, who played football with Real Madrid star Arda Güler during his childhood years, described his former teammate's discipline. Akgül said, "When he came to matches, he would bring something from home to eat between bread; we would go to restaurants, but even if we invited him, he wouldn't come." Akgül said, "Today he has become a world star, while I am currently working at a jeweler."
