The personnel, who faced backlash for a video mocking citizens at the Gebze Courthouse and had a disciplinary investigation launched against them, released another video instead of backing down. Stating that he finds the reactions excessive, the individual sparked disbelief by saying, "Should I file a compensation lawsuit? By the way, how are my clothes?"
A personnel working at the Kocaeli Gebze Courthouse sparked public outrage with posts on social media displaying behavior unbecoming of a civil servant's dignity. Following footage of the personnel mocking citizens coming to the courthouse, the Gebze Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action and immediately launched a disciplinary investigation into the individual.
"WHEN YOU LEARN TO READ..."
In the first video that caused an uproar on social media, the personnel expressed annoyance at citizens asking him questions about their court procedures, committing a grave disrespect. Mocking citizens' efforts to seek information, the individual openly sneered in the video, saying, "When you learn to read, we will explain all of this, folks."
"WHY DID YOU OVERDO IT?"
Despite the administrative investigation launched against him and the growing backlash, the courthouse employee maintained his careless attitude and, unable to contain himself, shared another video on his social media account.
Disregarding the criticisms directed at him and deeming the situation "exaggerated," the personnel stated in the second video:
"Why did you overdo it so much? They're sending insulting messages, and I'm thinking about whether to file a compensation lawsuit. By the way, how do my clothes look?"
These relaxed and unserious displays by the individual further intensified the backlash on social media.
