The Typhoon jets belonging to the Royal Air Force (RAF) of the United Kingdom took off twice in less than 48 hours against Russian warplanes to protect NATO airspace.
ALERT STATUS ACTIVATED
According to reports in the British press, the jets were put on alert in two separate incidents this week due to Kremlin aircraft approaching NATO's borders too closely.
TWO INTERVENTIONS IN 48 HOURS
On Tuesday, it was announced that two Typhoon jets stationed at Malbork Air Base in Poland took off to intercept a Russian reconnaissance aircraft flying over the Baltic Sea. 48 hours later, it was reported that a second intervention was carried out for a Russian aircraft that had taken off from the Kaliningrad region.
