Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal, who surprisingly resigned from CHP and joined AK Party, stated at a ceremony held in front of the municipality, 'I have started a new era to resolve Afyonkarahisar's issues more quickly and bring investments to life.'
Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal joined the AK Party at a ceremony held at the AK Party Headquarters. President and AK Party Chairman Erdoğan said in his speech at the event, "I welcome the mayors of Afyonkarahisar and Dinar to our ranks."
Speaking in front of the municipal building today, Köksal stated, "I have started a new era to resolve Afyonkarahisar's issues faster, implement the investments our city needs, and respond more strongly to the demands of our citizens. Inshallah, from now on, we will continue to carry out many projects with the same determination, from urban transformation to infrastructure, transportation, and projects for our youth and women. Together with you, I will serve in the Justice and Development Party to bring Afyonkarahisar to the place it deserves."

As a child born on the streets of this city, who has breathed its air and shared in the troubles of this homeland, I want to especially state that, as before, my only love today is Afyonkarahisar.
