The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues to reveal new companies that commit food fraud. Most recently, the names of cheese brands that maintain lower fat content than what is stated on the packaging have been disclosed one by one.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry updated the list of foods that have been counterfeited and could pose a health risk as of January 29, adding new products. It is noteworthy that among the newly added products, there are five cheese brands. It has been revealed that these cheese brands have a lower fat content than what is stated on the packaging.
Here are the cheese brands listed;
- Kılınç brand 1-kilogram full-fat fresh cheese
- Paysüt brand fresh white cheese
- Yeşilçay brand low-fat fresh white cheese
- Sütlüce brand full-fat white cheese
- Ufukbey brand fresh cheese
- Sütlüce brand full-fat cheese
THREE BUTTER BRANDS ARE ALSO ON THE LIST
In addition to the cheeses, fraud was also detected in another dairy product, butter. It was found that "Onur Güntay," "Çamoluk," and "Karadeniz Akbir" branded butters contained oils other than vegetable oil and milk fat.
NOT OLIVE OIL BUT SEED OIL
Fraud was again detected in olive oil, which is a regular on the list. It was learned that seed oil was mixed into the olive oil of three brands. The brands in question are as follows:
- Egenatura
- Gönül Olive and Olive Oils
- Lux Ayvalık
Additionally, it was found that the "Bideci Tugay" establishment located in Manisa Sarıgöl had winged meat and offal in its pide filling.
