BUS VEERED OFF THE ROAD
The accident occurred around 17:00 at the Babakonağı location on the Ankara-Niğde highway. The driver of the passenger bus with license plate 65 BJ 369, which was traveling from Istanbul to Iraq, Yahya A., lost control of the steering wheel. As the bus veered off the road, police, gendarmerie, health teams, AFAD, and fire brigade units were dispatched to the scene upon notification.
40 INJURED
Two drivers, one assistant, and 37 passengers, including children, on the bus were injured. The 40 injured individuals were taken to hospitals in the city by ambulances. Driver Yahya A., who was injured in the accident, said, 'We were going from Istanbul to Iraq. Suddenly, I found ourselves in the ditch.'
