In the İskenderun district of Hatay, 18-year-old Ezgi Özcan lost her life and the driver was injured when a car collided with a truck. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
DIED AT THE SCENE
The accident occurred on the Payas-İskenderun ring road in the Denizciler Mahallesi area. The car, with license plate 31 ABL 435 driven by F.G., rear-ended the truck with license plate 31 BF 143 driven by A.H. Eighteen-year-old Ezgi Özcan, in the car that was reduced to a wreck, lost her life at the scene, and the driver was injured.
Upon notification, gendarmerie, ambulance, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene. Firefighter teams rescued the injured person from the vehicle and handed them over to medical teams. After initial medical intervention, the injured driver was taken to the hospital, while Özcan's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute by a funeral vehicle.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
