In an apartment in Aksaray, 21-year-old mother Meryem Ölmez and her 1.5-year-old son Halil İbrahim Ölmez lost their lives due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
A mother and her one-and-a-half-year-old son died from carbon monoxide poisoning in Aksaray.
MOTHER AND BABY FOUND UNCONSCIOUS AT HOME
The incident occurred in the apartment on the first floor of Şile Apartment located on 4105 Street in Fatih Neighborhood at midnight. According to the information obtained, when the relatives of 21-year-old Meryem Ölmez, who lived in the apartment, could not reach her, they found mother Meryem Ölmez and her one-and-a-half-year-old son Halil İbrahim Ölmez unconscious at home.
BOTH LOST THEIR LIVES
Relatives, who could not understand what had happened, immediately reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The 112 Emergency Response teams, who arrived at the scene shortly, took the mother and son to the hospital by ambulances. Despite all the interventions made here, the mother and son could not be saved and lost their lives, while the police launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
THE CAUSE OF THE HEARTBREAKING INCIDENT IS "CARBON MONOXIDE" POISONING
Investigations conducted by the Public Order Branch and Crime Scene Investigation Branch of the Aksaray Provincial Police Department revealed that the mother and son had been poisoned by carbon monoxide gas. While the bodies were taken to the morgue for autopsy, the investigation initiated by the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is ongoing.
