In a post shared on the club's social media account on the platform of the US-based company X, it was announced that Burke is now a Turkish citizen.

The post stated that Burke, who joined the Mersin team that reached the finals of the FIBA Women's European Cup at the beginning of the season, has adopted the name "Beren".

Burke, who was included in the A National Women's Basketball Team's roster for the FIBA 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, played for Bellona Kayseri Basketball in the 2019-2020 season and for OGM Ormanspor in 2024-2025 in the Super League.
