ANGIOGRAPHY AFTER HEART ATTACK
Famous comedian Cem Yılmaz had a heart attack 2 days ago at his summer house in Paşaköy village, affiliated with the Ayvacık district. After his initial intervention at Ayvacık State Hospital, Cem Yılmaz was referred to ÇOMÜ Hospital and underwent angiography there.
Balloon and stent procedures were performed on Cem Yılmaz through his wrist in approximately 40 minutes by Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit, a faculty member of the Department of Cardiology.
CEM YILMAZ DISCHARGED
After the operation, Cem Yılmaz, whose health condition was good, completed his 2-day follow-up period. As his condition was stable and he had no complaints, his medications were prescribed, and he was discharged today at around 19:30.
Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit, a faculty member of the Department of Cardiology who performed the operation on Cem Yılmaz, who had a balloon and stent procedure through his wrist in approximately 40 minutes, made the following statement after the operation: "Mr. Cem came to us today with a heart attack involving the front part of the heart. He was conscious when he arrived. We immediately took him to the angiography laboratory. We completed the procedure with a balloon and stent through his wrist in approximately 40 minutes. He is in intensive care. His condition is currently stable. We plan to continue his follow-up here for 2 days. I hope he reunites with his family soon and healthily."

After the press statement, Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit, who also answered questions from the press members, said: "He is currently conscious. He came to us conscious. His angiography went very well. We took him to his bed within 40 minutes by applying balloon and stent procedures to the vessel related to the heart attack. We ensured control of the blood. We removed the angiography sheath from his wrist. He is currently resting in his bed. All procedures have been successfully carried out at our university. He can be discharged after 2 days, like our other patients, if his condition remains stable. For now, for one vessel and a small side branch, we are checking later whether it will be needed in the future. For now, we are opening the vessel related to the heart attack. We will examine the other side vessel in detail now. Perhaps no procedure will be needed for it at all. It can be managed with medication. We have types of heart attacks. He came with one of the major heart attacks a person can have. Thanks to the colleagues at Ayvacık State Hospital, they intervened very well. Our 112 ambulance directed very quickly. Since we intervened within about 2 hours, we took him to his bed healthily. I want to thank everyone here. Everyone, from Ayvacık onwards, starting from when the chest pain began, has intervened well for Mr. Cem."
