Famous comedian Cem Yılmaz, who fell ill at his summer house in Paşaköy, a town in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale, was taken to the catheterization laboratory at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

He arrived with one of the major heart attacks a person can have. Fortunately, the colleagues at Ayvacık State Hospital intervened very well. Our 112 ambulance directed him very quickly. By intervening within about 2 hours, we got him to bed safely without most of his tissue dying or turning into heart failure. I would like to thank everyone here. Everyone from Ayvacık onwards, since the chest pain started, has intervened well for Mr. Cem."
