The National Team returned to Turkey after EURO 2024. Speaking to the press at the airport, national football player Cenk Tosun stated that they were happy to have brought joy to the country despite the unfortunate loss against the Netherlands. Tosun emphasized that Turkey has a young and talented generation and said, "Hopefully, we want to have a good performance in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and be a part of that tournament as well. What we did here was just a trailer."

"WE HAD A GREAT TOURNAMENT"
Tosun, stating that they were proud despite being eliminated, said, "Unity and solidarity were at the highest level. I think we had a great tournament. Of course, we had the desire to play in the final in our hearts. We had prepared ourselves for that and we had the strength. Unfortunately, we suffered an unfortunate defeat against the Netherlands. Nevertheless, we are very happy to have made the whole country rejoice. We are happy to be Turkish, how fortunate to be a Turk. It is difficult to be Turkish in this world. You have to fight not only against one country, but against the whole world. But we are happy because we made everyone rejoice and because we are a hope for our youth."
