Following the 4.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Simav, Kütahya on April 25, new earthquakes measuring 3.4, 3.9, and 4.1 in magnitude occurred in the early morning. A total of 65 aftershocks were recorded throughout the night along with these earthquakes.
On April 25, a 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Simav district of Kütahya, followed by earthquakes of magnitudes 3.4, 3.9, and 4.1 in the district that night. A total of 65 aftershocks of varying magnitudes were recorded over 7 hours until morning.
THERE WERE EXACTLY 65 AFTERSHOCKS AT NIGHT
According to a statement from the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, between 00:01 and 07:37, 65 aftershocks ranging from 0.9 to 4.1 in magnitude were experienced in the Simav district. While the tremors were felt in surrounding districts, the public spent the night in fear.
