In a chain traffic accident involving five vehicles in Esenler, Istanbul, a motorcycle rider lost their life, and nine people were injured. Police, medical, and fire teams were dispatched to the scene.

In the late hours in Esenler, Istanbul, a chain traffic accident involving 5 vehicles occurred, resulting in 1 death and 9 injuries.

The accident took place around 01:45 at the Fevzi Çakmak Neighborhood Atış Alanı exit on the Esenler TEM Highway. A motorcycle, a minibus, and three cars were involved in the chain traffic accident. The exact cause of the accident is still unclear, but the motorcycle involved was dragged at the scene and then caught fire. The motorcycle rider, identified as Yahya K., who was found to be a foreign national, lost his life, while Murat O., Miraç O., Doğukan B., and 6 others whose names are not known were injured in the cars.

THE LOCATION OF THE ACCIDENT WAS CLOSED OFF WITH TAPE

Following the accident, police, medical, and fire teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. After the initial interventions by the medical teams at the scene, the injured were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances. The police teams temporarily closed the route where the accident occurred to traffic and secured the accident site with tape. Forensic investigation teams conducted their work at the accident site. The body of Yahya K., who lost his life in the accident, was taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy. An investigation has been initiated regarding the accident.
