İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Turhan Çömez shared a report obtained from Harran State Hospital, stating, "A girl who is only 5 years old. She is brought to Harran State Hospital. She has been brutally raped and strangled to death. All necessary interventions are being made in the emergency room, but it is not possible to revive her heart. Everything is recorded with a detailed report. If no mistakes are made in the forensic medicine phase, it is still possible to reach all evidence in the most accurate way and identify the perpetrators." Çömez later stated regarding the issue, "I received some information from Şanlıurfa and also analyzed the report. Unfortunately, a 5-year-old girl has been ruthlessly raped. It is already written in the report. There are also some marks on her neck. I suspect the cause of death is drowning, but the autopsy report is not yet available. She was already brought to the hospital in a lifeless state. The doctors made all the interventions to revive her. There is no deficiency there, but unfortunately, the child has lost her life."

Highlighting the importance of the forensic medicine processes after the horrific incident, Çömez emphasized the need to preserve evidence, stating, "The reason I am making this warning is this; it is extremely important not to make mistakes in the forensic medicine phase. Unfortunately, we have bad examples in front of us, there is the Narin example. Therefore, since the incident is still very new, I wanted to warn that proper procedures should be followed to prevent the loss of evidence. If no mistakes are made in the forensic medicine process - which I hope will not be the case - I suspect that very important evidence still exists. For this reason, I called on the authorities and those responsible to take their duties seriously."
