After the tensions and evacuation incident in front of the CHP headquarters, a notable claim has emerged. It is alleged that Özgür Özel's team requested Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş to position municipality trucks in front of the party headquarters. According to the claim, Yavaş rejected this request. CHP Deputy Group Chairman Murat Emir denied these allegations, stating, 'No such communication has ever taken place; the claims are unfounded.'
The tension over the eviction that had been ongoing since the morning hours in front of the CHP headquarters, along with the scuffle and police activity, has escalated the internal party crisis with new allegations. As tensions rose around the headquarters, it was claimed that Özgür Özel's team reached Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş and requested that municipal trucks be parked in front of the CHP building.
According to the claim, Mansur Yavaş rejected this request. However, CHP Group Deputy Chair Murat Emir firmly denied the allegation.
“THE ALLEGATIONS ARE BASELESS”
Murat Emir stated that no such meeting took place with Mansur Yavaş, saying, “Such communication never occurred; the allegations are baseless.”
Emir's statement served as a response to the allegations that emerged following the intense security measures and eviction debates around the CHP headquarters.
TENSIONS ROSE IN FRONT OF THE HEADQUARTERS
In the morning hours, tension arose in front of the CHP headquarters when some individuals and lawmakers supporting Kılıçdaroğlu attempted to enter the building. A scuffle broke out after party members standing guard intervened, and the crisis escalated when the doors were closed.
Later, police teams arrived at the headquarters to serve an eviction notice but could not enter due to the closed doors.
KILIÇDAROĞLU'S SIDE DEMANDED SURRENDER
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, Celal Çelik, submitted a second petition to the Ankara Provincial Police Department, demanding that the headquarters be handed over to Kılıçdaroğlu's administration.
The petition argued that despite a court order, the headquarters had not been vacated and even lawmakers were not allowed inside.
ÖZEL'S SIDE RESPONDS WITH “FORCIBLE SEIZURE” REACTION
Özgür Özel, in his statement regarding the developments in front of the headquarters, argued that the building was being “attempted to be seized through coercive methods.” Özel said that a basis for talks with Kılıçdaroğlu regarding the congress had been established, but the morning's events strained this process.
Murat Emir also stated in a press conference that the only way out of the crisis was through a congress and announced that they would meet with the Minister of Interior.
CRITICAL WAIT CONTINUES IN CHP
The leadership crisis in CHP, which began after the absolute nullity decision, continues to grow with the scuffle in front of the headquarters, the eviction attempt, police activity, and mutual statements. With the denial of the Mansur Yavaş allegation, attention has turned to the contacts between the party leadership and Kılıçdaroğlu's side.
