In the Melikgazi district of Kayseri, a father and his son were injured in a knife fight that allegedly broke out over "cigarette money." A portion of the knife fight between the father and son, and the police intervention, was captured on a mobile phone camera.
ARGUMENT BROKE OUT, THEY ATTACKED EACH OTHER WITH KNIVES
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Street in the Şirintepe neighborhood of the district. Allegedly, when A.O., who was returning home from a wedding, asked his father M.O. for cigarette money, an argument broke out between the two. When the argument escalated into a brawl, the father and son attacked each other with knives and were both injured. Upon receiving the report, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Police teams, who quickly arrived at the scene, used pepper spray to subdue the father and son and confiscated the knives from their hands. After initial medical intervention at the scene, A.O. was taken to Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, while his father M.O. was taken to Kayseri City Hospital.
SON SERIOUSLY INJURED
It was learned that the injured A.O. is in life-threatening condition, and part of the brawl and the police intervention were captured on a mobile phone camera.
An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
