Victory Party Giresun Provincial Chair Mesut Aydın applied to CİMER with the allegation that a cleaning worker at Özel Ada Hospital operating in Giresun participated in surgeries without authorization. According to information obtained from the Provincial Health Directorate, an investigation into the allegations has been initiated. Chief Physician Cenap Damcı, on the other hand, denied the allegations, stating that the person named did not work at the hospital.
ALLEGATION THAT HE PARTICIPATED IN SURGERIES RANGING FROM HEART SURGERY TO OBSTETRICS
Mesut Aydın carried to the Presidency's Communication Center (CİMER) the allegation that S.T., whom he claimed was employed as a cleaning worker or auxiliary staff at the hospital, participated in surgeries for many years and performed surgical interventions on patients despite having no medical training or authorization.
Aydın alleged in his application that S.T. was admitted to the operating room as an assistant doctor and surgical nurse. Claiming that S.T. directly performed surgical interventions on patients in cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics and urology surgeries, Aydın stated that he possessed photographs and video recordings related to these allegations.
S.T.'s participation in surgeries and performance of procedures on patients is seen in photos on his own social media account, in videos published by General Surgery Specialist Op. Dr. K.A. working at the hospital, and in photos shared on the hospital's official social media account.
ALLEGATION OF FALSIFICATION IN SURGERY RECORDS
Aydın also alleged in his CİMER application that S.T.'s name was concealed in surgery registers and patient files, and that the names of authorized nurses and healthcare personnel were written instead. Claiming that document forgery was committed in this way, Aydın requested that the records be examined.
Arguing that these practices were continued with the knowledge and instruction of the hospital management, Aydın also alleged that doctors and healthcare workers who opposed the situation or questioned the practices were subjected to mobbing and that dismissals occurred.
Aydın requested a retrospective screening of the surgeries in which he alleged unauthorized personnel participated, and an examination of patient deaths, permanent organ damage, paralysis, disability and post-surgical complications that occurred during this process.
Aydın, who also requested that the hospital's activities be stopped and that it be closed by revoking its license, requested that a criminal complaint be filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the hospital management, the responsible manager, the relevant doctors and S.T., and that an investigation be initiated by Ministry of Health inspectors.
HOSPITAL DENIED ALLEGATIONS
According to information obtained from Giresun Provincial Health Directorate, an investigation into the allegations has been initiated.
Özel Ada Hospital Chief Physician Cenap Damcı, whom ANKA News Agency interviewed, denied the allegations and argued that there was no staff member named S.T. at the hospital.
