It was alleged that a person said to be a cleaner at a private hospital in Giresun participated in many surgeries, including cardiac surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and orthopedics, and intervened in patients for years despite lacking medical training and authorization. In the application made to CİMER by Mesut Aydın, Giresun Provincial Chairman of the Zafer Party, it was also claimed that falsification was made in surgery records. While the Provincial Health Directorate launched an investigation into the allegations, the hospital's chief physician denied the accusations.
An investigation was launched following allegations made about Private Ada Hospital operating in Giresun. Mesut Aydın, Zafer Party Giresun Provincial Chairman, claimed that a person named S.T., alleged to have worked at the hospital as a cleaner or auxiliary staff member, had participated in surgeries for many years despite having no medical training or authorization. Aydın applied to the Presidential Communication Center (CİMER) for an investigation into the practices he argued endangered patients' health.
IT WAS CLAIMED THAT HE EVEN ENTERED HEART SURGERIES
In the application he submitted to CİMER, Mesut Aydın claimed that S.T. was admitted into operating rooms in the capacity of an assistant doctor or surgical nurse. Arguing that the person in question directly intervened on patients in surgeries across different branches such as cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, and urology, Aydın stated that there were photo and video recordings showing this situation. Aydın said that the images in question appeared on the accounts of S.T. and a doctor working at the hospital, as well as on the hospital's official account.
IT WAS ALLEGED THAT NAMES WERE CHANGED IN SURGERY RECORDS
The application included not only the claim of unauthorized surgical intervention but also the allegation of irregularities in hospital records. Aydın claimed that S.T.'s name was concealed in surgery logs and patient files, and the names of authorized nurses and healthcare personnel were written instead. Arguing that forgery was committed in official records in this way, Aydın requested that the relevant documents be examined in detail.
Aydın, who also claimed that hospital management was aware of these practices, alleged that doctors and healthcare workers who objected to the situation were subjected to mobbing, and that some employees were dismissed.
HE REQUESTED AN INVESTIGATION INTO PATIENT DEATHS AND COMPLICATIONS
Mesut Aydın requested a retrospective investigation into the surgeries alleged to have involved unauthorized personnel. Aydın, seeking an examination of patient deaths, permanent organ damage, paralysis, disability, and other complications that may have occurred after these surgeries, called for the suspension of the hospital's operations and the revocation of its license.
Aydın also requested that a criminal complaint be filed with the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the hospital management, the relevant doctors, and S.T., and that Ministry of Health inspectors investigate the matter.
THE PROVINCIAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION
According to information obtained from the Giresun Provincial Health Directorate, an investigation was launched into the allegations concerning the hospital. It was learned that authorities would examine the allegations brought to CİMER.
Meanwhile, speaking to ANKA News Agency, Chief Physician Cenap Damcı of Private Ada Hospital denied the allegations. Damcı stated that no staff member named S.T. worked at the hospital and argued that the accusations did not reflect the truth.
