The mother of 8-year-old Narin, who went missing in Diyarbakır, Yüksel Güran, made headlines with her statements during a live broadcast. Güran said, "I didn't say this because I thought they would suspect us, I'm telling it for the first time. My son, who was about to go to the military, and his two friends were smoking tobacco in the backyard of the house and harming a dog when Narin went missing." After Güran's words, the broadcast was cut off.
Turkey is waiting for news from Narin, who went missing in the central Bağlar district of Diyarbakır. While the village continues to be searched, the statements of Narin's mother, Gülseren Güran, about the day Narin went missing drew attention.
Following the notification of Narin Güran's family to the authorities on August 21st around 15:00, when they couldn't reach her in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, search and rescue operations by 112 Emergency Health, Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK), AFAD, and Dicle University Search and Rescue (DÜAK) teams are still ongoing.

In a live broadcast, Gülseren Güran, answering Didem Arslan Yılmaz's questions, said, "I didn't say it because they would suspect us, I'm telling it for the first time. My son who was going to the military and his two friends were smoking tobacco in the backyard of the house and harming a dog when Narin went missing," she said. After Güran's words, it was reported that the broadcast was cut off as the gendarmerie called the family for a statement.

In another broadcast, Güran provided more details and said, "They left no stone unturned in the village. Fields, grass, cotton, people... They are searching everywhere, but she's not there. May God be pleased with them a thousand times," she said. The mother, stating that Narin is a smart girl, said, "No one can deceive my daughter with money or anything and take her away in a car. If someone took her, they must be familiar," she said.

Güran continued her words as follows: "None of our men were at home that day, we were preparing for a wedding. My sister-in-law Maşallah Güran knocked on the door and asked about the girls. They also saw her at the fountain at 18:00. I don't know why Narin is taking a longer route and not coming the usual way."
