With the inflation figures announced on July 3, the increase rate for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees for the month of July has been determined as 16.67 percent.
THE BASE MONTHLY SALARY RISES TO 16,681 LIRA
The government, which reflects this amount in the same way to the lowest pension, announced that the base monthly salary, which is currently 14,469 lira, will be raised to 16,681 TL. With the increase in the announced lowest pension, there will also be an automatic change in the pension promotion fees in the protocol signed between the Social Security Institution (SGK) and 19 banks in March 2024.
In the more than a year that has passed, many private banks have made changes to their pension promotion campaigns, while the current system continues to determine the promotion amount based on the retirees' salaries.
DIRECT INCREASE IN PROMOTION IN JULY
In previous years, the pension salary limits set by banks for the promotion amount were determined as 10, 15, and 20 thousand TL, and with the increase in the lowest pension, there will be a direct increase for 5 million retirees in July.
REACHING UP TO 25 THOUSAND LIRA
Banks have updated their promotions. Retirees who transfer their salaries will receive payments of up to 25 thousand lira. The lowest promotion is offered by public banks Vakıfbank, Halkbank, and Ziraat Bankası at 12 thousand lira, while Garanti Bankası offers 15 thousand lira, and TEB and İş Bankası will pay 21 thousand lira to those who bring their pension. Yapı Kredi and ING's salary promotion goes up to 25 thousand lira.
