In the Susurluk district of Balıkesir, 25 people were injured when a passenger bus crashed into a median barrier and overturned on the Istanbul-Izmir Highway.
A passenger bus crashed into a median and overturned in a traffic accident on the Istanbul-Izmir Highway in the Susurluk district of Balıkesir. 25 people were injured in the accident.
According to the information obtained, the accident occurred at 05:47 at the Susurluk Yeni Mahalle İstasyon Caddesi location on the Istanbul-Izmir Highway. The passenger bus with license plate 24 AAS 700, driven by A.G. (50), which was traveling from Istanbul towards Izmir, hit the median on the right side of the highway and then overturned and skidded.
25 INJURED WERE TAKEN TO VARIOUS HOSPITALS IN THE CITY
Upon notification, teams from the Susurluk Group Directorate of the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and numerous 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene. Of the 40 passengers on the bus, 25 who were injured were taken to hospitals in central Balıkesir after initial intervention at the scene.
Due to the accident, traffic on the highway was controlled for a while, and it was learned that the left lane of the road was open to traffic as a single lane and there was no negative situation in the traffic flow.
