In the case of 26-year-old Seyit Muhammet Talay, who was fatally stabbed in a fight in front of his ex-girlfriend's house in Antalya, the cries of his mother, Sevim Talay, in the courtroom broke hearts. During the seventh hearing of the case, the grieving mother stated that she saw scratch marks on her son's neck while washing his body and demanded an investigation at the crime scene with the question, "Why didn't it appear in the forensic report?" The detained defendant, Ömer S., denied the accusations and requested his release.

The case of Seyit Muhammet Talay, who is alleged to have been beaten and stabbed to death by the family of his ex-girlfriend in Antalya, remains turbulent. During the seventh hearing, mother Sevim Talay reacted to the forensic report, saying, "I saw my son while he was being washed, there were scratch marks on his face. Why is it not in the report?" and requested an inspection at the crime scene.

BLOODY INTERVENTION ON THE YOUNG MAN WAITING AT THE DOOR

In a tragic incident that occurred on December 25, 2024, in the Aksu district, Seyit Muhammet Talay was waiting in his car near the house of his ex-girlfriend A.S. when he got into an argument with her father, Ömer S., and his relatives. As the argument escalated into a fight, Talay was stabbed in the abdomen and died in the hospital. After the incident, father Ömer S. was arrested, while the daughters and a relative were released to be tried without detention.

MOTHER'S STRIKING CLAIM: THEY BEAT HIM EVEN WHILE HE WAS ON THE GROUND

Speaking at the hearing at the Antalya 4th High Criminal Court, mother Sevim Talay claimed that her son was not only stabbed but was also continued to be beaten while severely injured. The grieving mother said, "I read the statements, Ömer S.'s three children are beating my son on the ground. I saw scratch marks on his neck and face while washing his body. Why didn't these appear in the forensic report?" and requested the court to conduct an examination at the crime scene. Father Ramazan Talay emphasized that the crime scene is a "blind spot" and stressed the necessity of a fair inspection.

DEFENDANT FATHER SAID HE IS INNOCENT

Father Ömer S., who has been in custody for over a year, denied the accusations. "I did not commit this crime. The other side is prolonging the process and victimizing me. I am in here for a crime I did not commit," he said, requesting his acquittal and release. Other defendants who are not in custody also claimed they are innocent in a similar manner.

INTERIM DECISION FROM THE COURT

The court panel, evaluating the request of the complainant's lawyer Huriye Erbuğa to hear a new name believed to have witnessed the incident and to arrest all defendants, decided to continue the detention of defendant Ömer S., accepted the request to hear the new witness, and postponed the hearing.
