Fenerbahçe officially announced that Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic has been loaned to his former club Dinamo Zagreb until the end of the season.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT RELEASED
Fenerbahçe made the official announcement regarding Dominik Livakovic's transfer. The yellow-navy blue club reported that the contract of the Croatian goalkeeper, who is on loan at Girona, has been mutually terminated and that Livakovic has been loaned to Dinamo Zagreb until the end of the season.
In the statement made by the club, it was stated, "The temporary transfer contract of our goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, who is on loan at Girona in Spain, has been terminated as a result of mutual discussions, and an agreement has been reached regarding the temporary transfer of our player to GNK Dinamo Zagreb until the end of the season."
250 THOUSAND EURO LOAN FEE
According to the news from the Croatian press Dnevnik, Dinamo Zagreb will pay Fenerbahçe approximately 250 thousand euros for the loan of Livakovic.
HE MADE A SACRIFICE ON HIS SALARY
Another notable detail during the transfer process was Livakovic's salary reduction. It was learned that the experienced goalkeeper waived a significant portion of his net salary of approximately 3 million euros until the end of the season to make the transfer possible and accepted to play almost for free.
NO PURCHASE OPTION AVAILABLE
The agreement does not include a purchase option. The contract Livakovic has with Dinamo Zagreb will only be valid until the end of the season. The Croatian goalkeeper will return to Fenerbahçe, where he has a contract until 2028, at the end of the season.
WORLD CUP GOAL
This transfer is also considered important for the Croatian National Team. It was stated that if Livakovic regularly plays at Dinamo Zagreb, the aim is for him to gain match rhythm before the World Cup to be held in the summer.
