43 suspects were detained in an operation targeting the financial structure of ISIS across 16 provinces centered in Istanbul. MASAK investigations revealed that approximately $170,000 was collected through crypto wallets via Telegram channels linked to the organization, and the funds were transferred to ISIS members. Numerous digital materials were seized in the operation.

43 suspects were detained in simultaneous operations targeting the financial structure of the DEAŞ terrorist organization in 16 provinces centered in Istanbul. Numerous digital materials were seized during the operation.

CRYPTO WALLETS TRACKED

In the investigation coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined, as a result of MASAK examinations, that crypto wallet addresses considered to be linked to DEAŞ were used to collect money through organization-linked Telegram channels.

Examinations revealed that the collected funds were transferred to offline accounts known as "cold wallets" in an attempt to hinder tracking.

$170,000 IN FUND MOVEMENTS

According to open-source research and MASAK data, it was revealed that approximately $170,000 was collected in the aforementioned crypto accounts between 2021 and 2025, and these funds were transferred to DEAŞ members.

It was also determined that the suspects were involved in money transfer relationships with individuals who have judicial records related to terrorist organizations.

SIMULTANEOUS OPERATIONS IN 16 PROVINCES

During the simultaneous operations carried out in the morning hours centered in Istanbul, in Ankara, Antalya, Bilecik, Bursa, Hatay, İzmir, Kayseri, Kilis, Konya, Malatya, Mersin, Sakarya, Şanlıurfa, Trabzon, and Van, 43 suspects were caught and detained.

In searches conducted at the suspects' addresses, numerous digital materials were seized, and it was learned that the investigation is ongoing.
