A fire that broke out at night in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district caused panic. The fire started in the basement of a three-story building and quickly engulfed the apartment, while four people, including two children, trapped inside were rescued by fire crews. It was learned that those seriously injured are continuing treatment in the hospital.

A fire that broke out in the basement of a 3-story building in Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district caused a disaster. While 4 people, including 2 children trapped in the fire, were rescued by fire brigade teams, they were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The incident occurred around 21:00 on Orhangazi Street in Eyüpsultan Sakarya Neighborhood. According to allegations, a fire broke out in the basement of the 3-story building for an unknown reason.

FIRE BRIGADE TEAMS RESCUED THOSE TRAPPED

Upon the notification of nearby citizens, fire brigade, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. In the rapidly spreading fire, 4 people, including 2 foreign-national children trapped in the building, were rescued from their location by the intervention of fire brigade teams.

Medical teams provided first aid to the 4 seriously injured individuals at the scene. The injured were later taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances.

FIRE WAS BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL

The fire was brought under control and extinguished as a result of the intensive efforts of fire brigade teams. Police teams took security precautions in the area, while scene investigation teams conducted work in the basement where the fire started.

It was learned that the condition of the injured, hospitalized for treatment, remains critical. An investigation has been initiated into the cause of the fire.
