According to information obtained from security sources, the attack occurred around 02:00. Members of ISIS, approaching the checkpoint on motorcycles, opened fire with weapons on the Turkmen Hashd al-Shaabi forces.

In the attack, 1 member of the Turkmen Hashd al-Shaabi lost their life, while 1 person was injured. Medical teams were dispatched to the area to provide intervention to the injured person.
