The leader of the MHP, Bahçeli, made a call for the terrorist organization leader Öcalan, and DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan addressed President Erdoğan, saying, "I think these discussions should evolve into something. People in Turkey are curious whether this process will happen or not. I believe the President should speak now; the ruling party is one of the most important centers for solving this issue." AFTER ÖZEL, BAKIRHAN ALSO ADDRESSED PRESIDENT ERDOĞANThe echoes of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's call for PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, "If the isolation is lifted, let him come and speak in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, let him proclaim that the organization has been dissolved," continue. Following CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's statement for President Erdoğan, "The spokesperson's duty is over. Erdoğan must come out and explain to the nation. Stop making Bahçeli the spokesperson; you say what you need to say," a similar statement came from DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan. "I BELIEVE THE PRESIDENT SHOULD SPEAK NOW"Speaking to reporters, Bakırhan responded to a question regarding "President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's silence in the process" with the following answer: "I think these discussions should evolve into something. People in Turkey are curious whether this process will happen or not. I believe the President should speak now; the ruling party is one of the most important centers for solving this issue. I hope they will say something about the issue soon, but most importantly, it is a great duty and responsibility for all of us to find a way to solve the Kurdish issue through democratic means, dialogue, and negotiation. Because this issue has not been resolved, there is a serious decay in the economy and politics. I hope the AKP and the President will adopt a stance that focuses on a democratic solution, different from the positive and constructive methods applied so far."
