While the deep sorrow caused by the school attacks in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş, which resulted in the loss of numerous students and a teacher, continues, a controversy arose when Demet Özdemir, the lead actress of the series Eşref Rüya, quoted a fan's shared dance video. Özdemir was also criticized for not making a post about the attacks, and she responded harshly to the comments.
"WE ALL KNOW WHAT IS TRULY IMPORTANT"
In a post on her social media account, Demet Özdemir rebelled, arguing that a lynching campaign was launched against her during the tragedy. Özdemir used the following expressions:
"Stop your lynching campaigns for 2 minutes. We all know what is truly important. Shame on you. I was ashamed on your behalf."
"SCHOOL SHOULD BE THE SAFEST SHELTER"
Not only expressing her reaction, Özdemir also drew attention to the depth of the pain experienced in a post from her Instagram account.
Emphasizing that schools should be the safest place for children, the actress shared her feelings by saying, "School is a nest. It is a child's safest shelter after home. It should be that way. I am very sad... I have no words left."
SERIES ARE PLACED IN THE TARGET
On the other hand, following the violence incidents in schools, many users on social media platforms started a campaign for the removal of these series, arguing that violence scenes and mafia-like emphasis in television series negatively affect society and young people.
