The General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House announced that the claims regarding the hardware used within the scope of the National Vehicle Identification System being of Israeli origin are unfounded.

In a statement made by the General Directorate of the Mint and Stamp Printing House, it was noted that recently there have been attempts to bring up claims regarding UTTS on social media platforms that do not reflect the truth and are misleading to the public. It was stated, "As has been repeatedly explained in previous public announcements made by our General Directorate, the claims that the equipment used within the scope of UTTS is of Israeli origin are completely unfounded."

"THE EQUIPMENT IS NOT OF ISRAELI ORIGIN, IT WAS DEVELOPED BY TURKISH ENGINEERS"

In the statement, it was conveyed that the UTTS technology, which was implemented to ensure equal competition in the fuel market and to prevent tax losses, is a comprehensive digital monitoring system developed by Turkish engineers, and the following was recorded:

"There is no Israeli-origin company involved in the production, programming, or import processes of the chips used in the system. The software, hardware, and field studies within the scope of the project are carried out by a 100% Turkish capital, domestic, and national company. The statement that 'a 100 lira chip is installed for 3,000 lira' is also not true. The sales price of TTB (chip) within the scope of UTTS is 1,470 lira + installation + VAT. The cost of similar chips sold in the private sector in Turkey is around 2,300 lira. The security risks and similar claims made about the equipment used within the scope of UTTS do not align with technical reality, and the mentioned equipment has been developed in accordance with international security standards. The chips used within the scope of UTTS do not have electrical connections, batteries, or active electronic components, and these chips are already present in various components of vehicles for different purposes. These chips are passive circuits that do not have energy or cable connections and do not consume energy, and they do not perform any active functions."

The statement emphasized that UTTS is a system that does not have public investment and operating costs, contributes to the more effective execution of tax processes, and fights against unregistered activities, highlighting the importance of the public not to trust misleading and unverified content outside of the authorized institutions.
