Following the incident in Şanlıurfa Siverek where Ömer Ket stormed a school with a rifle, injured 16 people, and then ended his own life, threatening posts were shared. The posts included statements such as, 'We will do what you couldn't do, lion brother,' and 'His blood will not be left unavenged; let them wait.'

Turkey is discussing the armed attack incident that occurred at a high school in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa.

The funeral of the attacker, Ömer Ket, who injured 16 people and ended his own life at the Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which he entered with a shotgun, was buried last night. The body, taken to Şanlıurfa instead of Siverek for security reasons, was buried at the New Cemetery under police escort during the night. After the incident, the attacker's family was also taken out of the district and placed under state protection.

DETENTION FOR REVENGE POSTS

While the investigation continues, posts by some suspects, who are said to be Ket's friends, have also emerged. It was seen that the posts in question contained expressions such as "We will do what you couldn't do, lion brother." and "His blood will not remain on the ground, let them wait." Another post contained a statement threatening the school principal. Security forces detained two suspects in connection with the incident.

CONDITION OF ONE TEACHER IS SERIOUS

In the attack, 10 students, four teachers, police officer Emre Çopur, and the cafeteria operator were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals and received treatment. It was reported that the condition of teacher Cihat Edim, who is being treated at Siverek State Hospital, is serious. It was also reported that some students jumped from classroom windows to escape the attack.

THREAT MESSAGES HAD EMERGED

It was also determined that Ket, who was said to work in a restaurant doing delivery service, had problems with the school administration and made threatening posts on social media. It was found that in the posts, Ket used expressions such as "Get ready, there will be an attack at this school in a few days." and "See you tomorrow, I will destroy all of you."

It is alleged that Ket, whose father is a construction worker and who lived in a family of nine, blamed the school administration for his failure in his educational life and harbored resentment for this reason.
