Under Israeli attacks in Gaza, thousands of Palestinians performed the Eid al-Adha prayer amid the rubble of destroyed mosques, in streets, and tent camps. In Khan Younis, Nuseirat, and Gaza City, Palestinians lined up among the traces of war, praying for their relatives who lost their lives in the attacks. Due to the destruction of most mosques, the Eid prayer was held in open areas.
Thousands of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, under Israeli attacks and blockade since October 2023, performed the Eid al-Adha prayer among the rubble of destroyed mosques, on the streets, and in tent camps.
In the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, Palestinians lined up on the rubble of the Huda Mosque, destroyed by Israeli bombardment. Gathering among the piles of debris, they prayed for their relatives who lost their lives in the attacks. Children and the elderly also joined the Eid prayer amidst the destruction.
EID MORNING IN TENT CAMPS
In the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in central Gaza, thousands gathered on the streets and in rubble areas to perform the Eid prayer, as mosques became unusable.
Palestinians who lost their homes in Israeli attacks and took refuge in tent camps woke up to the Eid morning with takbirs. Lining up in small prayer areas set up among the tents and in open spaces, they performed the Eid prayer under war and blockade.
EID PRAYER AT SARAYA SQUARE
In Gaza City, thousands of Palestinians gathered at Saraya Square in the city center. The Eid prayer was performed in the square, surrounded by destroyed buildings and heavily damaged neighborhoods.
In Israeli army attacks since October 2023, mosques, schools, hospitals, and civilian infrastructure in Gaza have been severely damaged. With most mosques rendered unusable, Palestinians are forced to perform Friday, daily, and Eid prayers on the streets, in rubble areas, and in tent camps.
It was reported that Israel continues its attacks on various parts of the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025.
