In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the military has announced that the coup attempt, which began yesterday morning, has been suppressed by security forces. Brigadier General Sylvain Ekenge, the DRC Army Spokesperson, stated that a group of armed individuals, including foreigners, prevented the coup attempt by the DRC Armed Forces. Military officials have announced that clashes between security forces and armed individuals occurred in the Goma region of the capital, Kinshasa, resulting in the death of three armed individuals. Today, a striking image related to the coup attempt has been released. The image shows the leader who attempted the coup being killed while live streaming on Facebook from inside the presidential palace in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In a video confirmed by Reuters, Christian Malanga, who was referred to as the leader of the coup by the military, can be heard saying, "We, the militants, are tired.
