The leader of the Great Unity Party, Mustafa Destici, who is described as the junior partner of the People's Alliance, criticized the AK Party and MHP through the process initiated by MHP leader Bahçeli's call for a "Terror-Free Turkey." Referring to the DEM's meeting with Barzani, Destici stated, "This insolence mocks our intelligence and patience. We must urgently revert from this mistake and continue the fight against terrorism."
BBP leader Mustafa Destici spoke at a press conference held at the party's headquarters. Criticizing the AK Party and MHP alliance he is a part of, through MHP leader Bahçeli's message of "Terror-free Turkey" and the process that began with the DEM delegation's visit to İmralı, Destici stated, "This insolence mocks our intelligence and patience. A swift return from this mistake is necessary, and the fight against terrorism must continue."
"TRUMP'S WORDS DO NOT ALIGN WITH LAW OR HUMANITY"
Regarding the recent developments in Gaza, Destici said, "The absurd and unacceptable Gaza plan announcement made by US President Trump on February 5 seems to have given Netanyahu a breather. We can evaluate Trump's statements, or we can say that they are not worth evaluating due to the level of absurdity in their content. Trump's statements clearly aim, first and foremost, to improve the image of Israel and Netanyahu, to lift the isolation and sanctions they face, and to rehabilitate the internal turmoil affecting everything in Israel today. The words of US President Trump regarding Gaza do not align with law or humanity. They are not realistic either. Palestinians will continue to live in Palestine, and Gazans will continue to live in Gaza. The implementation of the plan announced by Trump will not be possible, nor will it yield results. Even the attempt to implement the plan will undoubtedly trigger conflicts with a very high potential for escalation in the region and will lead to terrorist actions that have the potential to spread throughout the world. The greatest harm from these events will be suffered by Israeli and US citizens in the future, who may have no connection to these decisions," he stated.
"AN INDEPENDENT PALESTINE STATE WITH JERUSALEM AS ITS CAPITAL WILL BE ESTABLISHED"
Destici continued his remarks, saying, "Trump's immediate posturing towards the EU, Canada, Panama, and Ukraine, while disregarding the Arab and Islamic world, declaring that he will take Gaza and push the Palestinians out, is sheer bullying. The whole world will respond to this bullying. The world is not anyone's toy. If you treat people's homelands as real estate; if you confuse state governance with real estate brokerage, everyone suffers from this. Not just Palestine, but the Middle East, Europe, America, and Asia will suffer. The expulsion plan regarding Gaza that Trump has mentioned cannot be accepted by the world states. Especially Islamic countries and the Arab world must strongly oppose this. If on Saturday, the US, together with Israel, carries out a heavy attack on Gaza or other regions of Palestine, then not only the Palestinians but all Muslims with even a speck of faith in their hearts must rise up. They all must revolt. With Trump's arrival, we have also seen that it is not just Israel that strikes and bombs Gaza. The US is not merely a supporter of Israel. On the contrary, they have bombed and destroyed this plan together, and now they plan to expel all Palestinians from Gaza and seize it, turning it into a center for trade and entertainment for themselves. In response, the entire Islamic world must display a united stance. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has announced a meeting date, but I believe it is too late. They must meet immediately, without delay, tomorrow, and clearly announce their decisions. No solution other than an independent Palestinian state is possible and realistic. We will continue to support Palestine and our brothers. Without the establishment of an independent Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital, it is not possible for peace and tranquility to come to the region. Sooner or later, Israel will be defeated, and an independent Palestine state with Jerusalem as its capital will definitely be established."
"ONE CANNOT ACHIEVE PERFECTION WITH A POOR TOOL"
Destici stated, "Recently, an expectation was created regarding a statement to come from İmralı and the so-called dissolution decision of the terrorist organization. In this process, certain missions were attributed to the DEM Party delegation. However, from the very beginning, as the Great Unity Party, we have stood against this game, and every development we are witnessing today has once again revealed our righteousness. Lastly, the statement made by the extensions of the terrorist organization in the parliament is a complete example of insolence. The so-called statement to be made on February 15 has been postponed due to their meeting with the Northern Iraq Regional Government. This insolence mocks our intelligence and patience. We ask from here; what is the matter, gentlemen? By what right, by what title, and with what authority are you discussing Turkey's issues with the separatists and so-called political actors of another country? Are you the grapes of this vine, or are you reaching out to the neighbor's vine? If you reach out to the neighbor's vine, either the neighbor will cut that branch, or we will. Who do Barzani and especially the enemy of the Turkish nation, the PKK collaborator Talabani think they are, that they feel the need to engage in this traffic of discussions, believing they have such influence over the terrorist organization, or that they are allowed to do so? I call out to everyone from here. We, as Great Unity Party members and Alperens, have approached this process negatively from the beginning and have firmly opposed it. We know that nothing will come of this. We warn once again. One cannot achieve perfection with a poor tool. A swift return from this mistake is necessary, and the fight against terrorism and terrorists must continue relentlessly."
