Democracy and Progress (DEVA) Party Balıkesir Member of Parliament Burak Dalgın has resigned from his party. "THE PARTY IS ENTERING A DIFFERENT PATH UNDER A 'ROOF'"Announcing his decision through a statement on his social media account, Dalgın said that the party is entering a different path under a roof. "Thus, I am parting ways with my party, to which I have contributed to its program, of which I am one of the founders, and with which I have met very valuable people and gained friends," said Dalgın, thanking the General Chairman Ali Babacan. In his statement, Dalgın included the following remarks: "The DEVA Party is entering a different path under a roof. Thus, I am parting ways with my party, to which I have contributed to its program, of which I am one of the founders, and with which I have met very valuable people and gained friends. I extend my respects and greetings to all my friends from all over our country, especially to Mr. Ali Babacan, with whom I have come together in the real/virtual world over the past five years." "UNFORTUNATELY, A ROOT CHANGE HAS NOT OCCURRED"For a long time, I have expressed my observations, warnings, and suggestions regarding the functioning of the DEVA Party, both verbally and in writing, in narrow and collective environments. Unfortunately, the root change that our nation indicated and demanded first with their statements in surveys, and then with their votes in the 2023 and 2024 elections, has not occurred. However, we cannot expect different results by doing the same things. I did not take part in the party management at the grand congress in October. "I STILL STAND BEHIND THE GOALS WE AIMED FOR WHEN ESTABLISHING THE PARTY"In the recent process, I emphasized the risks of being perceived as political engineering of complex mechanisms, accelerating identity erosion, and making it difficult to reach large masses. I still stand behind the goals we aimed for while writing DEVA's program and establishing the party: (1) to provide concrete solutions to the common issues of our citizens; (2) to present the claim/team to govern Turkey; and (3) to achieve these with a new style of politics. I will continue to work with increasing enthusiasm for our Turkey to overcome mediocrity, to evaluate opportunity windows, and to compete with the world in every field. As the great Yunus Emre, who inspires centuries, said: "We are reborn every moment/ Who can get tired of us?"
