In the Karatay district of Konya, a commercial taxi that went out of control hit a mother and her daughter walking on the sidewalk. Mother Dilek Ö. (53) and her daughter Ecrin Ö. (13) died at the scene, while the taxi driver was injured.

The accident occurred during the noon hours on Fetih Avenue in the Doğuş neighborhood of the central Karatay district. According to information obtained, the commercial taxi with license plate 42 TT 154, driven by Hasan K. (30), was heading towards the Altıyol Junction when the driver lost control of the steering wheel, hitting the mother and daughter walking on the sidewalk at the intersection of Büyükkumköprü Avenue and Fetih Avenue, before stopping after crashing into parked vehicles.
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER DIED AT THE SCENE
Upon notification, numerous health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. In checks conducted by health teams, it was determined that mother Dilek Ö. (53) and her daughter Ecrin Ö. (13) had died, while driver Hasan K. was injured. After initial intervention, the injured driver was taken to Konya City Hospital by ambulance.
Police teams took precautions at the accident scene, and the lifeless bodies of the mother and daughter were taken to the Konya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after on-site investigations. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
