Devlet Bahçeli: Kurdish chieftain Ahmet Türk is being exploited.

In a statement regarding the current issues on the agenda of the party group, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli made a striking remark by stating that the dismissed Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Türk, who was replaced by a trustee, was exploited by the CHP.

"MAYORS SHOULD WAIT PATIENTLY"

Bahçeli called on the mayors who were replaced by trustees to "be patient until the legal process is concluded," stating, "The appointment of trustees to municipalities is due to the connections of those mayors with terrorism. The rule of law prevails in Turkey. Mayors should patiently wait for the legal processes to conclude," he said.

"AHMET TÜRK IS BEING EXPLOITED"

Continuing his remarks, Bahçeli emphasized that Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Türk, who was replaced by a trustee, is being exploited by the CHP, stating, "The exploitation of Mr. Ahmet Türk, who has serious health problems, is of advanced age, and belongs to a prominent family, is a treacherous act to stir up trouble between İmralı and the DEM Party. This is a product of the black campaign led by the CHP with external connections. The CHP Chairman seems confused and has boiled water. In response to the statement 'The words are almost over' regarding the trustee appointment, I say, 'If you were fire, you would burn as much as your crime.' You should stop cheap tricks, be careful with your steps. Get your mind straight. Love the CHP, love the country, love everyone... Then you can say, 'I love myself too,'" he stated.

DID HE SIGNAL A NEW TRUSTEE?

On the other hand, Bahçeli's statement, "There is no tolerance for terrorism. Wherever the terrorist organization emerges, that place is a legitimate target," led to comments suggesting that "trustees could be appointed to other municipalities."
