In the statement, it was emphasized that the news reports claiming he injured his son with a weapon due to an inheritance dispute do not reflect the truth. Ertuş stated that these allegations are not based on any concrete evidence and noted that the publications in question constitute crimes of defamation and attacks on personal rights under the Turkish Penal Code.
DRAWING ATTENTION TO THE "TERROR-FREE TURKEY" PROCESS
İskender Ertuş also addressed the state's efforts in line with the "Terror-Free Turkey" vision in his statement. He argued that targeting the Ertoşi Tribe during a process aimed at establishing peace and stability in the region is not a coincidence, claiming that such news seeks to disrupt social balances. He also expressed that they would not remain silent against initiatives that target public order.

Ertuş stated that the Ertoşi Tribe stands by the state today, as it did in the past, expressing their full support for the principle of the rule of law and the legitimate efforts of security forces.

The statement indicated that legal proceedings would be initiated against individuals or entities that produce and disseminate news containing lies and manipulation, and that the process would be closely monitored by judicial authorities.
WHO IS İSKENDER ERTUŞ?
İskender Ertuş, born in 1955 in the Başkale district of Van, was elected as the leader of the Ertoşi Tribe at the request of tribal elders after the death of his father, Mahmut Ertuş, in 1979.
The Ertoşi Tribe, active in Van, Hakkari, Şırnak, Siirt, Batman, and Diyarbakır, is known as one of the largest tribes in the region.
İskender Ertuş, who has drawn attention with his political background, has been involved in five different political parties over the course of 23 years.
Recently, Ertuş joined the AK Party for the third time, and he has been among those who received party badges from Selahattin Demirtaş, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu at different times.
