According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.94% in March. The annual inflation rate was calculated to be 30.87%. Based on the announced data, the rent increase rate to be applied for April 2026 was determined to be 32.82%.
With the announcement of the March data by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the rental increase rates for residential and commercial properties have also been revealed. The ceiling increase rate for rent, calculated based on the 12-month average inflation, has emerged.
RENT INCREASE RATE 32.82 PERCENT
According to these data, the 12-month average CPI used for the rental increase for residential and commercial properties is 32.82 percent. This month, tenants renewing their contracts for residential and commercial properties will receive an increase of up to 32.82 percent based on the 12-month average CPI. Last month, the ceiling increase rate for rents and commercial properties was realized at 33.39 percent.
THE RENT INCREASE RATES FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

- October 2025: 38.36 percent
- November 2025: 37.15 percent
- December 2025: 35.91 percent
- January 2026: 34.88 percent
- February 2026: 33.98 percent
- March 2026: 33.39 percent
