The minibuses affiliated with the Square Cooperative in Adana staged a protest in front of the municipal building due to the reduction of their routes. The drivers said, "Our daily earnings have dropped to 700 TL, we want a route."

The Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), affiliated with the Adana Metropolitan Municipality, has removed some stops from the routes of minibuses belonging to the Meydan Cooperative.

In response to this incident, minibus drivers staged a protest in front of the Adana Metropolitan Municipality to voice their grievances.

'WE WANT ROUTES'

Speaking to journalists during the protest, Erhan Özhan said, "We are here as the Meydan minibus stop. All stops were given routes, but our Meydan minibuses were not given routes. Moreover, our existing routes were also removed. We are victims. Routes were given to 16 stops, but not to our stop. Our only request is to have routes like the other minibuses."

'OUR DAILY EARNINGS HAVE DECREASED'

Özhan stated that they have the shortest distance between minibus stops in Adana and said, "While our round trip is 14 kilometers, other stops have been increased to 25 kilometers. We can't even give pocket money to our children, we are truly victims. Our daily earnings have decreased up to 700 TL," he said.
