The Israel-Iran war is causing oil prices to rise, leading to consecutive increases in fuel prices in Turkey. Last night, there were double price hikes for gasoline and diesel, and with the price increase reflected at the pump, gasoline is being sold for 49.99 lira and diesel for 51.39 lira in Istanbul.
The energy prices have been most affected by the Israel-Iran war. Israel's strikes on Iran's fields and concerns about Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz are economically challenging the entire world as the war unfolds.
