The escalating crisis between Iran and Israel in the Middle East has brought about security operations. Iranian police captured a person, who is alleged to be a Mossad agent, after a long chase on the highway between the capital Tehran and the city of Qom.
TRIED TO ESCAPE ON FOOT
The suspect attempted to escape on foot after abandoning his vehicle but was apprehended by Iranian security forces. A detailed search of his vehicle revealed a large number of explosives hidden inside the trunk.
ALERT IN IRAN
Following Israel's recent pinpoint attacks on Iran's high-level military targets, a "Mossad alert" was issued in Iran. In the past week alone, 28 people have been detained in the capital Tehran on suspicion of espionage on behalf of Israel.
1 PERSON HAS BEEN EXECUTED
Iranian authorities also announced that a person arrested in 2023 on the same charges had been executed. In public statements made across the country, a warning was issued to be cautious of "masked and hat-wearing individuals." According to Iranian media, 60 people in the city of Isfahan were detained for sharing content supporting Israel, accused of "disrupting the psychological security of society." Iranian security sources stated that such content poses a threat to national security.
