The thunderstorm with heavy rain affecting Adıyaman's Kahta and Besni districts increased in intensity during the evening hours and caused a flood. While puddles formed on streets and avenues, drivers and citizens experienced difficult moments.
ROAD COLLAPSED
Due to the rainfall affecting Adıyaman and its districts, puddles formed on many streets and avenues. As some vehicles were stranded on the roads due to the intensity of the rain, drivers had difficulty moving forward. A collapse occurred on Mersin Avenue in the city center due to heavy rainfall.
HOMES AND WORKPLACES WERE FLOODED
After the collapse, the road was closed to traffic. While water flooded many homes and workplaces throughout the city, citizens experienced difficult moments. In areas where flooding occurred, teams carried out water drainage and response efforts. Citizens stranded due to puddles that formed on some streets and avenues were transported to safe areas with the help of teams. Fire brigade, AFAD, and municipal teams continued their work at locations where flooding occurred.
