In the Bodrum district of Muğla, Veysel Bek (65), who could not be reached by his neighbors, was found dead in his home. It was determined that A.B., who is alleged to be mentally disabled, lived with his father's lifeless body in the house for two days.
The attention of neighbors in Bodrum brought to light a chilling and equally heartbreaking incident. The truth emerged after foul smells came from the house of 65-year-old Veysel Bek, living in Cevat Şakir Mahallesi.
TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED FOLLOWING NEIGHBORS' REPORT
The incident occurred on the first floor of a two-story building located on 1525th Street in Cevat Şakir Mahallesi. Neighbors who had not seen Veysel Bek for a few days, who lived with his son A.B., claimed to have a mental disability, became suspicious due to the foul odor emanating from the house and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Following the report, police and medical teams were quickly dispatched to the address. Entering with the help of a locksmith or upon opening the door, the teams determined that Veysel Bek had passed away.
HE REMAINED IN THE SAME HOUSE WITH THE LIFELESS BODY FOR TWO DAYS
According to initial assessments by medical teams and crime scene investigators, it is estimated that Veysel Bek passed away approximately two days ago. The most shocking aspect of the incident was the determination that his son A.B., reported to have a mental disability, continued to live in the same house with his father's lifeless body for two days without realizing the situation.
Bek's body was taken to the Muğla Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. A large-scale investigation launched by the police into the incident is ongoing.
