HE DID NOT OBEY THE STOP WARNING, ADVANCED ON POLICE WITH A KNIFE
The incident occurred around 16.00 in Ortaköy district. Traffic police conducting checks warned the driver of the car with plate 68 DV 715, who was drifting, to 'stop'. The driver began to flee without obeying the warning. Police teams tried to stop the driver, who hit a police vehicle and 9 cars, by spraying pepper spray. The driver, who got out of the vehicle, advanced on police teams with the knife in his hand. While the driver escaped from the police teams, got back into his car, and fled, the police team fired at the car's tire. After a while, the driver, neutralized by reinforced police teams, was taken into custody. The moment of the incident was captured by a mobile phone camera.
365 THOUSAND LIRA FINE AND ARREST
A total of 365 thousand lira in fines was imposed on Servet Aldırmaz for the offenses of 'not obeying the stop warning,' 'driving under the influence of alcohol,' and 'drifting,' and his driver's license was confiscated. His vehicle was towed to the parking lot by a tow truck. Servet Aldırmaz was arrested by the court he was brought before after procedures at the police station.
