In the Kestel district of Bursa, 49-year-old N.A., who had gone for a walk near Küreklidere Waterfall on the slopes of Mount Uludağ, tragically lost her life after rolling down a cliff about 70 meters high. After hours of a major operation in challenging terrain conditions, the lifeless body of the unfortunate woman was reached.
LOST HER BALANCE AND ROLLED DOWN THE CLIFF
The final destination of a woman who set out for a nature walk in Bursa was Küreklidere Waterfall on Mount Uludağ. While walking around the waterfall, located within the borders of Kestel district, 49-year-old N.A. lost her balance due to the ground giving way beneath her feet and rolled down a cliff about 70 meters high.
TEAMS WERE MOBILIZED
Immediately after the incident, a rescue mobilization was launched in the area upon reports from nearby citizens. The operation was carried out with great precision due to the steep, rocky, and highly rugged terrain conditions. The efforts involved 1 Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) team, 3 public order teams, 2 teams each from AFAD and AKUT, as well as 2 vehicles and 2 teams from the Fire Department Directorate.
DIED AT THE SCENE
After hours of a difficult struggle in the terrain, the teams managed to reach the deep point where N.A. had fallen. However, initial examinations revealed that the unfortunate woman had lost her life at the scene.
