Dusan Tadic, whose transfer to Dutch team NEC Nijmegen fell through, will continue his career at United Arab Emirates club Al-Nasr. Tadic is preparing to sign a one-year deal with Al-Nasr.
The new destination of Serbian star Dusan Tadic, former player of Fenerbahce, is becoming clear. The experienced footballer, whose transfer to Dutch club NEC Nijmegen fell through due to high costs, is preparing to continue his career in the United Arab Emirates.
HIS NEW TEAM WILL BE AL NASR
According to a report in Voetbal International, the 37-year-old attacking player is very close to reaching an agreement with UAE representative Al-Nasr. While Tadic is expected to sign a 1-year contract with Al-Nasr, it has been mentioned that he will work alongside his compatriot Milos Milojevic, who coaches the team.
COST PROVED TOO HIGH FOR EUROPEAN CLUBS
Speaking about the transfer process, NEC Nijmegen Sporting Director Carlos Aalbers said, "There are many clubs interested in Dusan Tadic. Under the current conditions, this transfer does not seem financially possible for us." Reports in the Dutch press also noted that Twente was interested in the experienced player, but Tadic's salary expectations exceeded Twente's budget.
