Ece Güner, a former Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor's Advisor and lawyer, who was arrested on July 16 as part of the investigation into the Ahbaplar Criminal Organization, was released after approximately three months.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Ahbap Association, former Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor's Advisor and lawyer Ece Güner, who was arrested on July 16 on charges of 'membership in an organization established to commit a crime,' 'abuse of duty,' and 'money laundering of assets derived from crime,' was released on October 7 from the prison where she was being held.
SHE HAD RESIGNED FROM HER ROLE AS IMAMOĞLU'S ADVISOR
Ece Güner announced that she had resigned from her positions as Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor's Advisor and Presidential Candidate Office Coordinator and that she was leaving politics. During her detention, Ece Güner, who made statements, argued that she had no relationship with the Ahbap Association or its founder Haluk Levent that would constitute a crime.
