14 PEOPLE KILLED

A fire broke out at a training center in Lucknow, the capital of India's Uttar Pradesh state. At least 14 people, mostly students, died in the animation training center where the flames spread rapidly. Firefighters, police, and rescue teams responded to the fire in the three-story building, while officials said the death toll could rise.

THEY WERE RECEIVING ANIMATION TRAINING

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said, "This is a major incident, extremely sad." Pathak stated that students were receiving animation training at the center.

In a statement by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the fire in Lucknow. I extend my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives."
